I read the article How To Be A Great Teacher, From 12 Great Teachers. It was pretty cool, it has awesome quotes from you guessed it, 12 teachers like this one which was one of my favorites…
This quote was my favorite becuase I think it is important to work through your frustrations as a teacher so that you can realize that your students deserve to be taught by someone who is (hopefully) as great as you, and deserve to know that no matter how much you may be frustrated, that you will not give up on them.
As a human being I find myself getting more and more stressed out and that makes me irritable and frustrated, so I also think it is important for me to figure out now the best ways for me to work through my frustrations and stress. So far, taking a quiet hour or two to myself with some relaxing music and a nap and a big glass of cold water before returning to working has proven to help me the most. If you have any ideas about how to deal with stress, frustration, anger, and anxiety: feel free to comment them here.
Signing off, Jaile.
