A random note I felt I should share just in case you goofed up this year and want to know how to fix it next year without cutting out treats.
If you buy your children treats, you can use them as incentive to be good children. Or teens, or even adults. Teens can probably be trusted to snack as class progresses, but I wouldn’t advise giving younger students sweet treats before the serious business of class.
If your students bring you a treat, don’t eat any of them in front of your students, in my experience kids can take that as picking favorites, which we would never do.
So, make good choices with your students for Valentine’s Day. And remember to have fun, even though teens and all ages can get very sullen on today’s holiday.
